Beginners Yoga is a sequence of flowing postures which are connected with the breath. It is designed as a gentle yet dynamic introduction to the practice of yoga. This healing sequence comprises postures (asanas) linking breath (pranayama) and movement (vinyasa). The practitioner has the opportunity to learn the basics of yoga in a safe and controlled environment where they have the possibility to reap all be benefits of a steady yoga practice.

Yin Yoga is a slower more relaxed style of yoga where postures are held for 3 minutes or more. Yin is intended to stretch the deeper layers of connective tissue and fascia helping to increase overall flexibility. The practitioner is encouraged to relax into each posture whilst focusing awareness towards the area of the body being worked. Yin is complementary to the Flow yoga which is a Yang style of practice.

We all have an energetic field which is part of our body. This natural energy, called bioenergy or chi, flows between the Chakras. We can absorb energy from others, we can leave energy behind and we can give energy to others. Sometimes, energy gets blocked and becomes unbalanced. This Meditation class will focus on unblocking and balancing that energy, which will contribute to a deeper calmness within the constant change of life.

Kids Yoga is designed to be to cultivate healthy body awareness in a safe and fun environment. This is a playful practice that helps keep bodies strong and flexible whilst also providing time for reflection and deep relaxation. Correct alignment in the postures is taught while allowing kids to enjoy the feeling of movement and flow. This is a perfect compliment to other practiced sports and can help prevent or heal injury. Teens are under constant stress from their school work, to friends and family, and pursuing their hobbies. Not only do the yoga poses offer stress relief in the way they manipulate the body, but it is also in the mindfulness element of the practice that teens will find relief and learn to balance their life. When they begin to match their breath to the movement, they begin to slow down and notice what their body is saying to them.

Tai Chi Classes Mondays at 6:45pm and Fridays at 11:30am. This will be an introduction to a Wu Style form, which is the most gentle and suitable for the western frame.We will be doing this over an initial 6 week period, and will be delighted to share the benefits of this wonderful form which will see you experience your body and your Qi on a whole new level than before. This class is suitable for both Complete beginners and also those who have a yoga practice already or are in training, running, cycling, who want to keep there body at optimum fitness. It will complement an already active life or help those who feel distracted by “mind chatter”. By bringing both Yin and Yang aspects of yoga to each class we can experience all the benefits of both styles and we can use these in different ways. This is a practice that balances the slow-paced Yin yoga with the traditional Yang yoga (Ashtanga and Hatha). Yoga for kids is all about having Fun. Kids yoga classes are designed to stimulate children’s imagination, maintain their natural flexibility and teach them to breathe correctly. Children’s Yoga classes combine exciting adventures with songs, stories, arts and crafts and relaxation techniques.

Join us for a comprehensive 6 wk Pregnancy Yoga course that will guide you safely through a yoga practice designed to honour the ever-changing nature of the pregnant body. No prior yoga experience is necessary to join this course. Hatha Yoga of the 5 Elements.
Set new foundations with the EARTH sequence (the first sequence in a series of 5) to gradually develop your practice over the course of the year with the other four Ayurvedic elements (WATER, FIRE, AIR and ETHER). This unique hatha yoga class weaves together postures/poses, dynamic transitions (vinyasas), breath control, mudras (nerve tensioning), relaxation and meditation for physical and mental therapeutic effect. This safe practice aims to rejuvenate you without over-tensing,stretching, stressing and over-working your body and mind, giving them just the right amount of challenge. This 7-week course will explore the idea of self-compassion.

Ravi Kirin Kaur
Ravi Kirin Kaur is the Spiritual name of Maggie Butler, our Kundalini Yoga Teacher, she says, she is still growing into the name, when briefly translated it means, a bringer of Light into people's lives. Ravi stumbled upon Kundalini Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, at a time of great upheaval in her life, a time of separation and tragedy, an amazing awakening was taking place. Kundalini Yoga became a steady rock, on which Ravi began to rebuild her life. That was in 2009 and in 2013 Ravi took KRI Teacher Training with Guru Sahai in Westport and Jai Kartar in Cork, and part of the training included White Trantra in London. Ravi also had the privilege of being taught by Sada Sat Kaur, and Sada Sat Singh two of Yogi Bhajan’s first Teachers. Ravi has been teaching since 2014, in various different locations across the North East. As a latecomer to this Yogic world Ravi is a testament to “it’s never too late”, and “Yoga is for everyone“ Recently in 2017, Ravi completed training in PTSD through Art & Yoga a trauma sensitive forum which Ravi also brings to her classes. Ula fell in love with movement at the age of fourteen since then she has participated in countless movement workshops, courses and classes, and studied contemporary dance full time in Scotland. She was awarded a Pilates teaching qualification in 2005 and has been teaching on and off since then. She completed her RYT 200hrs yoga teacher training which manly focused on Astanga Vinyasa Yoga, though being particularly inspired by two of the leading yoga teachers Simon Borg-Olivier and Bianca Machliss who themselves were students of B.K.S Iyengar, K. Pattabhi Jois and T.K.V Desikachar. Ula is returning to complete another 300hours with Yoga Synergy approach (Simon and Bianca) this November. Drawing from traditional Hatha yoga, Hinduism and Ayurveda, in her teaching Ula wants to offer therapeutic yoga which incorporates modern knowledge of the body and mind and traditional yoga values. Stepping onto your mat, Ula invites you to leave behind the relentless pressures of modern life and pause to observe who you really are with kindness and understanding.
Mary was introduced to yoga at a young age. She qualified as a Holistic Therapist in 1996 and first traveled to India in 2001 to study Ayurvedic massage and meditation. She lived in India for 7 years and explored many styles of yoga. In 2003 she went on a retreat to the Shivananda Yoga Ashram, there she decided she wanted to be a yoga teacher. After having three beautiful kids, she followed her dream by becoming a qualified Hatha yoga teacher and attaining RYT 200hrs status in 2014. Mary is also a qualified kids yoga teacher and has an additional 300hrs training with greenlotusyoga in Vinyasa Flow Yoga and Yin Yoga level 1 and 2 with Josh Summers. Mary has been teaching in the local community for the last five years, she took over the Dundalk Yoga Collective studio in 2016 and is so grateful and honoured to be able to share her love and knowledge of Yoga with her local community in this beautiful light filled studio.
Niall has been practicing meditation for 22 years, has worked in pastoral care settings including community, schools and prison where he has facilitated meditation classes. Niall has participated in religious life formation for a period of 3 years which involved intensive human and spiritual development. Niall is Certified in Therapeutic use of Mindfulness, Spiritual Direction (Ignitatian Spirituality), Practitioner of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Anger Management, Spiritual Energy, Shamanic Dowsing, Deeksha Blessing Giver, Reiki Master and Magnified Healing Master. Niall holds degree qualifications in Pastoral Theology, Psychology and Community Development.
Ann has been practicing yoga since 1997 when she began with Ashtanga yoga and the wonderful yoga teacher Orla Punch in Dublin. Her love of yoga has brought her on many journeys; to India in 2003 and many times since where she trained and practiced with a lot of great teachers in Goa where she immersed herself in yoga and meditation philosophy. She has also practiced and worked with Anusara and Womb yoga teachers in Europe over the last 8 years, her deep love of yoga has brought her on a journey of self discovery and a deepening of her awareness and connectedness; aligning body, mind and spirit. Her singing which she now weaves into her yoga classes is inspirational and deeply healing, she sings from the heart.
Alan has been a Holistic Massage Therapist since 2009 and has received Training in Ireland & Thailand. Alan is a Teacher of Vinyasa Yoga and has been practicing Yoga since 2010 and teaching since 2014. He completed a RYT 200hr and Internship with Himalayan Yoga Valley in Goa India. Alan has been influenced by the Raja & Hatha Traditions of Yoga. During Yoga Classes with Alan there is a emphasis on moving mindfully from one pose to the next while maintaining a connection to the breath. He believes in sharing his insights into Pranayama's, Yoga and Meditation and will help you in developing a Home Practice.
