Mum & Baby Yoga

February 14, 2018
Booking Essential.
Mum andBaby Yoga is a great way to bond with your baby while getting back in shape. A typical mother and baby yoga class focuses on re-building core strength. Many of the yoga poses involve the core area which helps to tone these muscles and restore strength after pregnancy. We also focus a lot on relieving tension in areas such as the neck, shoulders and back as many new moms find feeding and lifting baby can lead to tiredness in these areas.
It is suitable to start Mum and baby yoga after your postpartum check-up until your baby is actively crawling. Bring a toy and a blanket for baby.
Babies are involved in some of the yoga postures and beside mom on a blanket for others. They usually respond very well to the simple baby moves.
Mum and Baby yoga is suitable from 6 weeks post partum (once mums has been cleared by doctor to exercise) and from 12 weeks if you had a caesarean section.

Yoga 55’s plus

November 13, 2017

Thursdays 4pm with Larisa

This class is designed for the over 55’s age group, As we get older, muscles tend to stiffen, our joints lose their range of motion and we become more susceptible to chronic problems such as osteoporosis, arthritis and heart disease. Yoga can help slow down the effects of the ageing process by maintaining muscle softness and flexibility, keeping the mind alert and awake, encouraging relaxation and strengthening muscles and joints. Its multi-pronged approach can encourage the body, mind and spirit to remain healthy and strong while reducing the effects of many age-related issues.  The class will incorporate gentle yet effective poses to improve your flexibility and build strength without feeling like you are over doing it.

For more information or to book your place please call or text Larisa on 085 734 7311,

course of 5 classes 50€ or drop in available to.

Tantric Hatha Yoga

July 27, 2017

Next Course of Tantric Hatha Yoga to be confirmed during the new Year

Hatha Yoga practices are designed to align and calm your body, mind and spirit for meditation and the Tantric scriptures teach us to meditate in everything that we do from how we move our bodies to washing the dishes!

The practice of Tantric Hatha aims to cultivate Relaxation and create moments of stillness and ease within our bodies so that we can take this frame of mind off the mat and into every moment of our day.

This is a gentle, calming Hatha Yoga practice which aims to cultivate relaxation knowing that the mind and body work most efficiently when calm and relaxed. The postures are held for 2-3 mins each with resting postures in between to allow the energy created flow through the body with the use of the breath being a key component. This is very much an energy based practice which journeys through the chakras.

This practice is suitable for everyone and if you are looking for a calming practice to counteract our sometimes hectic lifestyles then I think you will really enjoy this.

Its also great for people just starting off on their journey of yoga aswel as we learn to use the breath as a tool to slow down the mind and to sink deeper into the Asanas (postures) by releasing tensions and strains that we unconsciously carry in our muscles.

Through specialized breathing and meditation techniques, we build sensitivity to the more subtle forces within the body which is called prana or vital life force. The ancient Hatha Yogis believed through learning to control prana, one also learns to control the mind.
